The octopus, an invertebrate creature, ranks among the smartest animals in the world. Despite belonging to the same class as snails, the octopus exhibits remarkable cognitive abilities, including problem-solving skills and tool usage. Its shape-shifting and camouflage abilities contribute to its survival, while its brain size and a high number of neurons play a crucial role in its intelligence.
The octopus operates with a distributed nervous system, with three-fifths of its nerves distributed throughout its eight arms. These arms serve as mini brains, allowing the octopus to process information and exhibit intelligent behaviors.
