Frustrated Customer Torches Ola Electric Showroom in Karnataka After Repeated Repairs Are Ignored
Ola Electric is in the news again, but this time not for its initial public offering (IPO) or its electric motorcycles. Recently, one of Ola’s showrooms in Kalaburagi was set on fire by an irate customer. This customer had been experiencing ongoing issues with his scooter and had visited the showroom multiple times to get it repaired, but the problems were never resolved.
Frustrated by the lack of a solution, the customer decided to take drastic action. He set fire to the showroom, which led to the destruction of several scooters inside. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The fire caused significant damage to the property, but there were no reports of harm to any employees or customers present at the time.
The Outraged Ola Customer and His Defective Scooter: What Went Wrong
The person behind the incident is Mohammad Nadeem, a 26-year-old mechanic. He bought an Ola scooter about a month ago, but the scooter began experiencing frequent problems. Nadeem took the scooter to the Ola service center in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, several times in an attempt to get it repaired. Despite his repeated visits, the service center failed to resolve the issues with the scooter.
According to reports, the situation worsened when the staff at the showroom started ignoring Nadeem. His requests for assistance were consistently neglected, leading to mounting frustration. Feeling that his concerns were not being addressed and after facing continued dissatisfaction with the service, Nadeem took drastic action by setting fire to the showroom. The incident caused significant damage to the property, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.
